New Balance dipped into the archive to refresh the 1906 with a unique treatment to the uppers. Gone are the metallic overlays, replaced with a reptilian pattern which feels decidedly more organic.

This is part of NB's Fantomfit technology which provides an overlay designed to better support your foot. This particular design is similar to the 950v2, a military-issue style coveted by the most hardcore NB nerds for it's difficulty to source outside of official channels.
